The BDIT COLLEGE Green Jobs Skills and Development Training course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in the rapidly growing green economy. The United Nations Environment Programme defines environmentally “sound” technologies as those that “from a life cycle perspective protect the environment, are less polluting, use resources in a sustainable manner, recycle more of their wastes and products, and handle all residual wastes in a more environmentally acceptable way than the technologies for which they are substitutes understand, utilize and replicate the technology, including the capacity to choose it and adapt it to local conditions and to integrate it with indigenous technologies.”

This 10 Module comprehensive course covers a broad range of topics, from the fundamentals of sustainability and climate change to the technical skills required in key green industries. 

Participants will explore current trends, emerging technologies, and best practices that are shaping the future of work in the context of environmental stewardship.

This course is within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a particular focus on Sustainable Development Goals  7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and 13 (Climate Action).
