Description

Statistical Process Control / Six Sigma has gained immense popularity over the years as a reliable methodology to solve Product and Service quality issues. Corporate giants like Toyota, Honeywell, GE etc. have made Six Sigma an integral part of their Production and Management philosophies.

In this course, we will start with the Introduction to the MINITAB 17 tool and its basic functions. Then we move to elementary Statistical concepts like Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, Data sorting, Graphical Representation- Charts & Plots etc. Moving further we look at Data distribution, Sampling, Normality and Data Transformation. We also look at important tests like Power analysis, Paired-T test and ANOVA.

Lastly, we have a dedicated section for Six Sigma practitioners where we cover important tools and methods like Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Analysis, Hypothesis Testing, Pareto Analysis, Correlation & Regression and finally Control Charts.

What will students learn in your course?

a.The students will learn to effectively use MINTIAB 17

b.They will be able to perform Statistical analysis on Academic and Business data sets using MINITAB

c.They will be able to test Hypotheses, identify significant factors and create basic Regression models and further represent the results in a Visual format (Charts)

d.It will provide valuable foundation skills to new Six Sigma practitioners.
